AMERICAN PHOTOBOOTH OPENING
We had a great opening here at Pine Street Art Works yesterday. Nakki Goranin's American Photobooth made it's official exhibition debut as thousands thronged to get in. Just joking - that only happens at Art Hop. But, despite snowy roads and a host of other Burlington happenings, we enjoyed a full house of friends and art mavens.
Nakki Goranin (right) discusses her work with my friends Alison Bechdel and Holly Rae Taylor while other friends and visitors look at the images.
We sold over forty books in two hours, and that hasn't happened here since Alison Bechdel's launch party for Fun Home. Several people showed up because they had heard the interview with Nakki the night before on Vermont Public Radio. I couldn't have asked for better publicity.
I had hoped to make it to this opening and meet Nakki Goranin. But, alas, as proprietor of the Vermont Photobooth Company I had an event to go to with the photobooth! As of early 2007, we are the exclusive agent in western New England and upstate New York for the Model 12 photobooth.
The Vermont Photobooth Company is a new, unique and high quality interactive entertainment option for special events in the region, especially weddings! We currently have three of the 1950s styled (retro chic, vintage mod!) "Model 12" digital photobooths. They're always a big hit and, of course, the experience of the photobooth (and the resulting photos) is very much the same as it was decades ago -- I love that!

I'm so sorry you couldn't make it to the opening. But do try to come another time. And pass along any info about the Model 12, it sounds really fun.
